We have the opportunity to integrate a wonderful variety of healing methods into the daily care of the animals
Integrated Medicine ~ Our animals may have more difficult medical problems than Western medicine alone can provide for. We often combine Western medical treatment with chiropractic care, homeopathy, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and nutritional therapy.
Flower Essence Therapy ~ Have you heard of “Rescue Remedy”? Many people have. It is a Bach Flower remedy used in times of stress. It is also just one part of whole host of vibrational essences used to help the body adjust to new situations and deal with emotions. We use flower essences for many reasons, including helping a new animal adjust to sanctuary life, and even during final hospice days.
Healing Touch for Animals ~ Healing Touch created for humans has been integrated into a healing method for animals, known as the Komitor Healing Method, Healing Touch for Animals. Healing Touch for Animals uses energy medicine and biofield modalities to promote balance, healing and wholeness. The animals really enjoy these sessions! Stacy has completed Level 2 of the certification process, which is comprised of a combination of coursework, case studies, and additional study outside of class.
Swim Therapy ~ We have an above-ground pool installed with ramps for easy access for the dogs. They enjoy the weightless workouts chasing tennis balls and other floating toys and always wear a lifejacket!
