Roger

Meet Roger Rabbit. He's darn lucky to be here.

This poor guy was out back in a cage in at a local feed store basically left to die during an especially hot October in 2006. As they were trying to sell beautiful tan and grey lops, this guy sat at the back, in a dirty cage, not even under the shade. Who wants an overheated, urine-soaked rabbit? Isn’t every life valuable? A mere $5 bought his freedom, and we hauled buns (pun intended) to cool him down in a place where he wouldn’t have to worry about heat stroke anymore.

He's starting to trust us, and is  really enjoying fresh produce and fresh hay. He's learning about playing, he loves the dogs and the cats, and as he's shedding out his coat, he's becoming a beautiful grey chinchilla color. His accommodations are indoors now, we’ve built a 2-story structure for him that measures almost 5 feet long, 5 feet tall, and over 2 feet wide. He has a window view in the living room, and even gets to watch TV!

He thinks carrots are the best thing Mother Nature created, and he “begs” as soon as he hears the refrigerator door open. He’s a real sweetheart and we’re glad he now has a chance to love and be loved!
